South of Hebron Directorate of Agriculture conducted a specialized training course for 25 women working in the livestock sector. The training focused on public health and safety practices in dairy processing and good farm management. This initiative is part of a project to enhance the skills and practices of livestock breeders across all stages of the animal value chain in the West Bank, Palestine, funded by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).

The training aims to strengthen the capabilities of women working in the agricultural sector, raise awareness of sound health practices during dairy processing, and develop their farm management skills, which will positively impact production quality and food safety.

The South Hebron Directorate of Agriculture emphasizes that this activity is part of a series of training and extension programs it implements in its areas of jurisdiction. These programs aim to support livestock breeders, empower rural women, promote sustainable agricultural development, and improve the livelihoods of beneficiary families. The training also included practical guidance on hygiene and sterilization methods, safe handling of milk products, and best practices related to farm management and livestock care, which contributes to the development of the livestock value chain in various targeted areas.
