The veterinary services departments in Yatta, Hebron, and North Hebron conducted a campaign to collect samples of table eggs intended for human consumption, in accordance with the approved protocol for sampling and laboratory testing procedures. This initiative falls within the Ministry of Agriculture's oversight role in monitoring the safety of animal products and protecting consumer health.

The samples were sent to the Food Safety Laboratory in Al-Aroub for testing to ensure compliance with approved health standards and specifications, guaranteeing product safety before distribution to the market.

This effort is part of ongoing initiatives to enhance the capabilities of veterinary laboratories. The Central Al-Aroub Laboratory utilized a vehicle provided by the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) as part of a project to strengthen veterinary laboratory capacities. This vehicle contributes to expediting sample transport, improving laboratory efficiency, and strengthening the health monitoring system.

The Ministry of Agriculture affirms its commitment to continuing its periodic monitoring programs for animal products to ensure their safety, protect public health, and bolster consumer confidence in locally produced goods.
