Slaimiya during his participation in the agricultural relief ceremony: Graduating a new group of agricultural engineers is a key step toward strengthening the agricultural sector’s resilience and improving food security

Minister of Agriculture, Professor Riziq Slaimiya, participated in the graduation ceremony for the 38th cohort of agricultural engineers in the West Bank and the 27th and 28th cohorts in the Gaza Strip, as part of the Agricultural Engineers Training Program. He stated that this new cohort of agricultural engineers is a fundamental pillar for strengthening the resilience of the agricultural sector and achieving food security.

Minister of Agriculture, Professor Riziq Slaimiya, participated in the graduation ceremony for the 38th cohort in the West Bank and the 27th and 28th cohorts in the Gaza Strip, within the Agricultural Engineers Training Program. This national event reflected the importance of investing in young talent and its pivotal role in developing the Palestinian agricultural sector and enhancing its resilience.

During his participation in the graduation ceremony, Minister Slaimiya emphasized the importance of this training program, which represents a genuine investment in young talent. He commended the role of the Agricultural Relief organization in qualifying and training newly graduated agricultural engineers and providing the agricultural sector with qualified professionals.

[Slaimiya pointed out that the graduation of these cohorts is a crucial step in strengthening the resilience of the Palestinian agricultural sector, given the escalating challenges targeting the land and farmers. He emphasized that the Ministry views these young professionals as key partners in developing agricultural production and enhancing food security.

He added, "The graduation of this new cohort of agricultural engineers is a true catalyst for bolstering the resilience of the Palestinian agricultural sector, in light of the escalating challenges facing our land and farmers. We rely on these young professionals to develop agricultural production, achieve acceptable levels of food security, and protect our natural resources in line with our national vision for sustainable development."

The Minister affirmed the Ministry of Agriculture's continued support for the new graduates through training and employment programs, and by strengthening partnerships with local and international institutions, contributing to the creation of sustainable job opportunities and the development of the agricultural sector.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of official and non-governmental organizations, along with the graduates and their families. The participants were honored amidst a celebratory atmosphere reflecting hope for a more developed and sustainable agricultural future.
