The Minister of Agriculture participates in the launch of the food exhibition - Hebron Expo 2026 and emphasizes the importance of supporting and promoting agricultural products and food industries.

Minister of Agriculture, Professor Rizq Slamiya, participated, in the opening of the Hebron Expo 2026 Food Exhibition in Hebron. Otherminosters also participated in the exhibition: Minister of Industry, Arafat Asfour; Minister of Culture, Imad Hamdan; Head of the Land Authority, Alaa Al-Tamimi; Governor of Hebron, Khaled Doudin; Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to the State of Palestine, Issam Al-Badour; the Ambassador of the Republic of Sri Lanka; the Head of the Food Industries Union; and a number of national figures and representatives of official, civil, and private sector institutions.

Minister Slaimiya participated in the opening ceremony and cut the ribbon, followed by an official tour of the exhibition halls. During the tour, he viewed national products and food and agricultural industries, and listened to explanations from participating companies and institutions about their products and development opportunities. He emphasized that supporting national food and agricultural industries is a fundamental pillar for enhancing food security, increasing the added value of Palestinian products, and opening wider horizons for marketing local products. Slaimiya affirmed that the Ministry of Agriculture continues its efforts to develop agricultural value chains, improve the quality of Palestinian agricultural products, and enhance their competitiveness in local and international markets. This is achieved through partnerships with the private sector and national and international institutions, contributing to supporting farmers and producers, boosting investment in the agricultural sector, and strengthening their resilience in the face of challenges.

Additionally , the Minister of Agriculture participated in a meeting held at the Hebron Municipality, attended by several ministers, ambassadors, representatives of official and civil institutions, and national figures. The meeting addressed the needs of the Hebron Governorate and ways to enhance cooperation among various stakeholders to support development and service projects. Slaimiya also briefed the attendees on the current state of the Palestinian agricultural sector and the challenges faced by farmers due to Israeli aggression. He emphasized the importance of strengthening Arab and international support for the agricultural sector to protect Palestinian farmers, bolster their resilience, and ensure the sustainability of agricultural production.
