Ministry of Agriculture: Qalqilya and Salfit Directorate of Agriculture, in partnership with the Palestinian Standards Institution and the Green Olive Mountain Company, organize a workshop to implement quality standards in olive presses

Qalqilya Directorate of Agriculture, in cooperation with Salfit Directorate of Agriculture, the Palestinian Standards Institution, and Jabal Al-Zaytoun Al-Akhdar Company, held a workshop entitled "Quality Management." The workshop, held at the Joint Services Council/Hotel, targeted 11 olive press owners from Qalqilya and Salfit governorates. Its aim was to promote the application of quality standards and improve the quality of olive oil production in accordance with approved specifications.

Eng. Othman Musalmani, representing the Palestinian Standards Institution, reviewed the quality management standards that must be applied in olive presses, as well as the scientific and practical procedures that ensure compliance with Palestinian standards and the production of high-quality olive oil.

This workshop is part of the Ministry of Agriculture's ongoing efforts, in coordination with relevant institutions, to develop the olive sector and improve the efficiency of olive press operations, in line with applicable regulations and instructions. This contributes to enhancing the quality of the national product and increasing its competitiveness.
