Ministry of Agriculture: Tulkarm Agriculture, in cooperation with JICA, organize a training workshop on finding marketing opportunities for 15 beneficiaries from livestock breeders in Sida, within the framework of the EVAP 3 project

Tulkarem Directorate of Agriculture, in cooperation with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and through the Improvement of Extension for Value-Added Agriculture (EVAP 3) project, organized a training workshop entitled "Identifying Marketing Opportunities." The workshop targeted 15 livestock breeders in the town of Saida, as part of the Ministry of Agriculture's efforts to enhance the capabilities of breeders and enable them to access more efficient and profitable markets.

Dr. Mu'ayyad Salman, Director of the Extension Services Department at the Ministry of Agriculture, participated in the workshop and emphasized the importance of adopting the concept of value-added agriculture as a strategic option that contributes to enhancing the competitiveness of agricultural and livestock products, improving the income of farmers and breeders, and addressing the economic challenges facing the Palestinian agricultural sector.

The workshop was also conducted by the EVAP project team at the Tulkarem Directorate of Agriculture, represented by Engineer Hana' Khraisha and Engineer Maysoun Khader. They presented a training session covering market analysis and classification methods, mechanisms for identifying marketing opportunities, and modern marketing strategies that help breeders develop their projects and increase the marketing opportunities for their products. This workshop is part of a series of extension and training activities implemented by Tulkarem Directorate of Agriculture within the framework of the EVAP 3 project. The project aims to develop the livestock sector and enhance the skills of its workers, thereby contributing to food security, achieving sustainable agricultural development, and improving the income levels of rural families.

It is worth noting that EVAP project is implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture in cooperation with  (JICA). It is one of the agricultural extension programs aimed at developing agricultural production, improving resource management, strengthening farmers' resilience, and supporting and empowering rural women.
