Ministry of Agriculture: Tulkarm Agriculture Directorate enhances women's beekeeping skills with a lecture on diseases and pests

Tulkarm Directorate of Agriculture, represented by the Rural Development Department and in cooperation with the Women's Affairs Department, organized a lecture on "Diseases and Pests Affecting Bees" at the Women's Affairs Department headquarters in Tulkarm and fifteen women participated.

The lecture aimed to empower rural women and enhance their knowledge and practical skills in beekeeping, thereby contributing to supporting income-generating rural projects, improving the economic situation of families, and reinforcing the concepts of sustainable agricultural development.

During the meeting, Engineer Nabil Hamdan discussed the most prominent diseases and pests affecting bees and methods of prevention. He also addressed the proper principles of beekeeping and the appropriate time to purchase beehives, especially for beginners, to ensure the success of this type of project.

This lecture is part of a series of activities implemented by the Directorate of Agriculture, in coordination with the Head of the Rural Development Department, Engineer Hanaa Khraisha, within the framework of efforts to support rural women and enhance their active role in the agricultural sector.
