Ministry of Agriculture: Tulkarm Agriculture Directorate and Ma’an Development Center have distributed 124 olive-picking rakes, 124 agricultural ladders, and 620 harvesting sheets to 124 farmers in different towns in Tulkarm.

Tulkarm, October 26, 2026:

Under the supervision and with the participation of Tulkarm Directorate of Agriculture, Ma’an Development Center distributed 124 olive-harvesting rakes, 124 agricultural ladders, and 620 harvesting tarpaulins to 124 farmers in the towns of Qaffin, An-Nazla ash-Sharqiya, Ramin, Beit Lid, Kafr al-Labad, and Shufa. The initiative was funded by the Humanitarian Fund for the Occupied Palestinian Territory as part of a project to provide emergency agricultural assistance to the most vulnerable farmers and livestock keepers in the West Bank.

These six towns were selected due to their exposure to frequent attacks by settlers, as well as the challenges farmers there face in accessing and cultivating their land—circumstances that make direct agricultural support essential for sustaining their livelihoods and enabling them to continue working their fields.

The distribution of this equipment aims to provide the necessary supplies to support farmers during the olive harvest season, streamline the harvesting process, and ease the burdens they face. This enables them to benefit from their olive yields and preserve their sources of income, despite the difficult conditions currently affecting the agricultural sector.

This initiative is part of a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Agriculture, partner organizations, and supporting entities to provide emergency agricultural aid to farmers in greatest need. It seeks to bolster their resilience in the targeted areas, support the continuity of agricultural production, help protect the land, and strengthen the food and economic security of farming households.
