Tulkarm Directorate of Agriculture distributed mature olive saplings (3 years old) as part of the emergency response project to support farmers affected by Israeli attacks, following directives from the Minister of Agriculture, Professor Riziq Slaimiya.

The distribution covered several locations, including Safarin, Qaffin, Shuweika, Beit Lid, Kafr Jamal, Shufa, and the outskirts of Tulkarem, benefiting 22 farmers. This initiative is part of the Ministry of Agriculture's efforts to compensate farmers for their losses.

This intervention comes after Israeli forces recently uprooted more than 1,500 olive trees and destroyed approximately 100 dunams of agricultural land in the governorate, directly harming farmers and their livelihoods.

The activity was implemented with support from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and in the presence of the Director General of the Tulkarem Directorate of Agriculture, Engineer Ashraf Anabtawi, and several directorate staff members. The Ministry of Agriculture affirms that these interventions are part of its ongoing plans to enhance the resilience of farmers and rehabilitate damaged agricultural lands, thereby contributing to supporting the sustainability of the agricultural sector in the targeted areas and mitigating the effects of attacks on land and people.
