Ministry of Agriculture: North of Hebron Agriculture Directorate distributes vegetable seedlings and fertilizers to 32 farmers in the town of Nuba in partnership with "Areej" and with the support of the World Food Programme

North of Hebron Agriculture Directorate distributed vegetable seedlings and fertilizer to 32 farmers in the town of Nuba as part of the "Developing Livelihoods and Climate Change Resilience" project.

This activity was implemented in partnership with the Applied Research Institute – Jerusalem (ARIJ), in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Development, the Ministry of Agriculture, and the Nuba Municipality, and with support from the World Food Programme. The project aims to enhance farmers' resilience and improve their ability to adapt to climate change.

Each beneficiary received 600 assorted vegetable seedlings, including tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, bell peppers, beans, lettuce, and zucchini seeds, along with two bags of fertilizer. These seedlings and seeds are intended for planting in home gardens and greenhouses provided to the farmers under the same project.

The Directorate confirms that the distributed seedlings and seeds are of high quality, meet the required technical specifications, and are free of defects, ensuring optimal productivity for the farmers. The Ministry of Agriculture indicates that these interventions are part of its ongoing efforts to support the resilience of farmers in the targeted areas, enhance food security, and enable farming families to improve their sources of income, especially in light of the current environmental and economic challenges.
