The North Hebron Agriculture Directorate, represented by the Head of the Rural Development Department, Engineer Shawq Bahar, and the Head of the Ruminants Department, Engineer Jihad Alami, conducted a training program for 30 women from Jala area on farm management and dairy product safety. This program was implemented in partnership with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and funded by the European Union, as part of the project "Strengthening the Skills and Practices of Livestock Breeders at All Stages of the Animal Value Chain in the West Bank – Palestine."

The two-day training program covered the fundamentals of sound farm management and best hygiene practices in dairy production and processing. This aims to improve product quality, enhance food safety, and increase the efficiency of female farmers in managing their production projects.

The program also included a field visit to a model farm, providing participants with the opportunity to apply their acquired knowledge and skills practically and enhance their expertise in managing livestock farms according to best practices.

This training comes as part of the Ministry of Agriculture's efforts to develop the capabilities of livestock breeders, improve farm management, increase production, and promote the production of healthy and safe dairy products that meet specifications and standards, in line with the Ministry's strategy to support sustainable agricultural development.
