Ministry of Agriculture: North Hebron Agriculture Directorate begins field visits to honey farms to assess production and ensure the quality of the national product.

The North Hebron Agriculture Directorate has begun field visits to bee farms in the governorate to estimate honey production for the current season and collect honey samples for laboratory testing to ensure its safety and compliance with approved Palestinian standards.

These visits, conducted by the head of the directorate's Beekeeping Department, Engineer Jihad Al-Alami, include inspecting the apiaries, estimating honey production, and collecting representative samples for laboratory analysis. This process will facilitate the approval of results, the completion of labeling procedures, and the determination of the quantities each beekeeper is permitted to market according to established regulations.

The Ministry of Agriculture affirms that these measures are part of the implementation of the approved honey marketing mechanism and align with the agricultural sector's strategy to protect national products, ensure the quality and safety of agricultural products, and enhance consumer confidence in Palestinian honey. This, in turn, contributes to increased profitability for beekeepers and supports the sustainability of the sector.
