Yatta Directorate of Agriculture and Veterinary Services—in partnership with Yatta Municipality, the directorates of Health, National Economy, and Labor, the Customs Police, the Civil Defense, and Hebron Governorate—conducted a field inspection tour of several olive oil mills in the city of Yatta. The tour aimed to assess their readiness for the olive pressing season and verify compliance with approved conditions and regulations.
The tour involved inspecting the mills' operations and their adherence to technical, health, and legal requirements—each within the respective agency's jurisdiction—to ensure a safe working environment, maintain olive oil quality and product safety, and regulate pressing operations in accordance with established standards and guidelines.
During the tour, operating permits were issued to mills that met the necessary conditions and requirements. This step aims to ensure their operational readiness for the season and reinforce compliance with approved standards for pressing and production processes.
Yatta Directorate of Agriculture and Veterinary Services emphasizes the importance of coordination and cooperation among official institutions in monitoring olive oil mills and ensuring their compliance with required regulations. Such efforts contribute to a successful season, protect the quality of Palestinian olive oil, support farmers, and safeguard this national product, which serves as a primary source of income for many Palestinian families.

These measures aim to preserve the quality of the national product and support the resilience of farmers and the sustainability of the agricultural sector.
