Ministry of Agriculture: Yatta Agriculture and Veterinary Services, in partnership with the(FAO), conduct a field visit to 30 farmers from Yatta and As-Samou’ regarding modern farm management and health safety of milk products

Yatta Directorate of Agriculture and Veterinary Services, in partnership with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and with support from the European Union, conducted a field visit targeting 30 farmers from the towns of Yatta and As-Samu'. This visit was part of the project "Strengthening the Skills and Practices of Livestock Breeders at All Stages of the Animal Value Chain," aimed at developing modern farm management and raising health and safety standards for milk products.

The visit included a practical tour of model farms in the area, during which participants learned about best practices in livestock farm management and mechanisms for improving milk production and handling processes in accordance with health requirements. This contributes to raising the quality of animal products, improving production efficiency, and promoting the application of sound agricultural and veterinary practices.

Yatta Directorate of Agriculture and Veterinary Services affirms that this activity is part of the efforts of the Ministry of Agriculture and its partners to enhance the capabilities of livestock breeders, transfer practical expertise to them, and encourage the exchange of successful experiences. This, in turn, improves the quality of milk products, increases the added value of local production, and strengthens the sustainability of the livestock sector. This visit is part of a series of training and field activities implemented by the project in partnership between the Ministry of Agriculture and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), and with funding from the European Union, in support of developing the livestock value chain, enhancing the resilience of livestock breeders and improving their livelihoods.
