Ministry of Agriculture: Nablus Agriculture Directorate holds a workshop on honey marketing and protecting the Palestinian product with the participation of 15 specialized beekeepers.

Nablus Directorate of Agriculture held a specialized workshop on honey marketing and the protection of Palestinian honey products. Fifteen beekeepers participated, along with the Director General of the Directorate, Dr. Ziad Fadda, the Head of the Beekeeping Department, and representatives from the Ministry of National Economy. This workshop was part of the Ministry of Agriculture's efforts to support the beekeeping sector and enhance the protection of local products.

The workshop addressed the most prominent challenges facing the beekeeping and honey sector, primarily the problems of marketing Palestinian honey and mechanisms to improve its market access. Participants also discussed ways to support beekeepers and enhance their ability to market their products and reach consumers.

The workshop also addressed the phenomenon of the proliferation of honey of unknown origin in Palestinian markets and ways to reduce it, strengthen oversight, and protect local products. This aims to safeguard the rights of beekeepers and consumers and contribute to increasing confidence in the quality of Palestinian honey.

Participants emphasized the importance of strengthening coordination and cooperation between the Ministry of Agriculture, relevant stakeholders, and beekeepers. They also stressed the need to work on finding practical solutions to the challenges facing the sector, thereby contributing to the development of beekeeping, supporting small producers, and enhancing the presence of Palestinian honey in local markets.
