Qalqilya: July 15, 2026
Qalqilya Directorate of Agriculture, through its IFAP3 project team, conducted a field visit targeted 20 fruit tree farmers from Qalqilya, located behind the separation wall. This initiative was carried out in partnership with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to identify market needs, gather marketing information, and open new sales channels for their agricultural produce.
The visit included meetings with the companies "Moors," "Solo," and "Mercado," key players in the value chain. Discussions focused on the possibility of showcasing and selling the farmers' produce (avocados, guavas, and lemons) through marketing events at these companies.
This visit is part of a series of training and extension activities implemented by the IFAP3 project in partnership with JICA, within the framework of the Ministry of Agriculture's efforts to develop agricultural extension services, promote value-added agriculture, and enhance the competitiveness of Palestinian agricultural products.
