Ministry of Agriculture: Jenin Agriculture Directorate signs an agreement to establish a public park in Al-Jdida village, south of the governorate

In a development initiative aimed at expanding green spaces and improving the environment in Jenin Governorate, the Ministry of Agriculture signed a cooperation agreement with Al-Jdida Village Council to establish a public park on 30 dunams of land in the village of Al-Jdida, south of the governorate. The park will serve as a natural haven and an environmental landmark, benefiting the residents of the area and future generations.

The agreement was signed at the Jenin Agriculture Directorate headquarters. Former Al-Jdida Village Council Chairman, Mr. Hazza' Abu Khader, signed on behalf of the council, in the presence of the new chairman, Mr. Abdul Hakim Jarar, and with the participation of the Director General of the Jenin Agriculture Directorate and the Director of Agriculture and Veterinary Services in Mithalon.

This project aligns with the Ministry of Agriculture's vision to expand green spaces, preserve natural resources, and improve the quality of life for citizens by providing sustainable environmental and recreational facilities that contribute to ecological balance and support local development.

Attendees emphasized the importance of the project as a developmental and environmental catalyst for the region, given its social and cultural dimensions that contribute to beautifying the natural landscape and providing a public space where citizens can enjoy nature and engage in community activities in a healthy and safe environment. For their part, Professors Abdul Hakim Jarar and Hazza' Abu Khader commended the Ministry of Agriculture's efforts and its ongoing role in supporting local councils and farmers. They praised the Ministry's development programs and projects, which contribute to strengthening citizens' resilience and improving their living and environmental conditions.

They noted that the establishment of the park will represent a significant addition to the village's environmental infrastructure and will contribute to creating new green spaces that enhance the area's beauty and reinforce a culture of preserving the environment and natural resources.

It is expected that, upon completion, the park will become a prominent environmental landmark and a destination for residents and visitors, reflecting the principles of sustainable development and strengthening the region's position as a hub for leading environmental and community initiatives.
