The South Hebron Agriculture Directorate distributed winter vegetable seeds and summer vegetable seedlings to 90 farmers in the Al-Dhahiriya District. This initiative is part of the Directorate's efforts to support farmers' resilience, enhance food security, and improve the sustainability of agricultural production.

The activity was implemented in partnership with the Land Research Center and the Creek Foundation, in cooperation with the Al-Dhahiriya Municipality. It targeted farmers in various areas of Al-Dhahiriya, including the Women's Club and the volunteer team in eastern Al-Dhahiriya, according to criteria that ensured support reached those most in need.

The Director General of the South Hebron Agriculture Directorate, Engineer Khalil Abu Aqifan, emphasized that this intervention aims to empower farmers to cultivate their land during the agricultural season and strengthen their ability to continue agricultural production. This, in turn, contributes to increased productivity and enhanced self-reliance in light of the challenges facing the agricultural sector. For his part, the Director of the Al-Dhahiriya Agriculture and Veterinary Department, Engineer Mahmoud Al-Zeer, stressed the importance of continuing the partnership and coordination with partner institutions to provide the necessary support to farmers, which enhances their resilience and contributes to achieving food security and improving livelihoods in the targeted areas.
