Jericho and Jordan Valley Directorate of Agriculture conducted a field visit to Jannat Adan Medicinal Herbs Company in Tubas Governorate. The visit, part of the EVAP3 project and implemented in partnership with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), targeted 16 farmers from Jiftlik area. Its aim was to enhance farmers' knowledge of value-added crops and to introduce them to pioneering experiences in the cultivation and production of medicinal and aromatic herbs.

The visit included a tour of the company's facilities, where participants learned about the various stages of medicinal and aromatic herb production, from planting and crop care to harvesting, drying, processing, packaging, and marketing. They also learned about best practices in technical and administrative practices that contribute to improving product quality and increasing market value.

The farmers also discussed with company representatives opportunities for expanding the cultivation of medicinal and aromatic herbs, mechanisms for developing value chains, and ways to access markets. These discussions focused on diversifying agricultural production, promoting sustainability, and increasing farmers' economic returns. This tour is part of a series of training and guidance activities implemented by the EVAP3 project in partnership with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), within the framework of the Ministry of Agriculture’s efforts to develop agricultural guidance services, promote value-added agriculture, and enable farmers to adopt modern agricultural practices, thereby contributing to raising the competitiveness of the Palestinian agricultural sector and achieving sustainable agricultural development.
