Hebron Agriculture Directorate conducted a field inspection tour of several olive oil mills across the governorate. The tour aimed to assess their readiness for the current olive pressing season and to verify their compliance with technical, operational, and sanitary requirements, as well as public safety standards.
The inspection covered the readiness of machinery and production lines and ensured that all necessary requirements were in place for an efficient pressing process. These measures help maintain olive oil quality and product safety, while minimizing practices that could compromise quality during the pressing stages.
This tour is part of the Ministry of Agriculture’s ongoing efforts—carried out by its field directorates—to oversee preparations for the olive season and strengthen oversight of oil presses. These actions aim to ensure the delivery of a high-quality product and uphold the status of Palestinian olive oil as a key national agricultural product.
