As part of the implementation of the General Directorate of Forests and Rangelands' plan, the Ministry of Agriculture's teams in Hebron Agriculture Directorate continue their work in preparing Wadi al-Qaf nursery. The nursery aims to produce forest, rangeland, and shade tree seedlings for use in various afforestation projects, with a focus on native varieties.

This effort is part of the Ministry's strategy to protect forests, enhance vegetation cover, preserve biodiversity, and combat desertification, in addition to addressing environmental challenges, especially in light of climate change and encroachments targeting forest lands.

Hebron Agriculture Directorate explains that the nursery preparation work includes developing the necessary infrastructure and creating suitable environments for producing high-quality seedlings, ensuring the success and sustainability of future planting operations.

The Directorate also emphasizes that this step contributes to supporting the resilience of citizens and encouraging them to expand forest tree cultivation, given their vital role in protecting the soil and reducing desertification.

Wadi Al-Qaf nursery is considered one of the most important nurseries in the Hebron Governorate, as it will contribute to supplying national projects with the necessary seedlings, thus strengthening efforts to preserve natural resources for future generations.
