Hebron Agriculture Directorate, specifically the Ithna Agriculture and Veterinary Department, continues its vaccination campaign against foot-and-mouth disease (SAT-1) in cattle, in cooperation with Hebron Veterinary Services Department, as part of its efforts to protect livestock and limit the spread of the disease.
The campaign targeted a number of cattle breeders in the town of Ithna, where vaccinations were administered under the supervision of Dr. Ziad Al-Sha'rawi, with the participation of the Director of the Ithna Agriculture and Veterinary Department, Engineer Thaer Amr, as part of the Ministry's ongoing plan to enhance veterinary prevention. A total of 232 doses of the vaccine have been administered to cattle during the campaign.
The Ministry affirms that this campaign is part of its national immunization program, which aims to maintain herd health and reduce the risk of epidemics, thus contributing to the sustainability of the livestock sector and supporting the resilience of breeders.
The Ministry also called on farmers and livestock breeders to cooperate with veterinary teams and adhere to vaccination programs and health guidelines to ensure the effectiveness of preventive measures and limit the spread of diseases.
