Hebron Agriculture Department trained 15 female farmers from Tarqumiya under a livestock development project funded by the European Union and implemented by the Food and Agriculture Organization.

Hebron Directorate of Agriculture conducted a specialized training course for female livestock farmers in the town of Tarqumiya. This training was part of the project "Strengthening the Skills and Practices of Livestock Breeders at All Stages of the Animal Value Chain in the West Bank – Palestine," funded by the European Union and implemented by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).

The training targeted 15 women working in the livestock sector and included specialized modules on sound farm management, proper handling of dairy products to ensure their quality and safety, and promoting healthy practices on farms to improve production efficiency.

The Ministry of Agriculture affirms that this training is part of ongoing efforts to develop the capabilities of livestock breeders and enhance the technical knowledge and skills of women working in this sector. This contributes to improving the quality of livestock production and its products, as well as enhancing marketing opportunities and sustainability.

This activity is part of a series of interventions aimed at empowering rural women, strengthening food security, and improving the efficiency of the animal value chain in Hebron Governorate through a partnership between the Ministry of Agriculture and international organizations supporting the agricultural sector.
