Ministry of Agriculture: Jerusalem Agriculture Directorate organizes an inspection tour to olive oil mills to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Jerusalem Directorate of Agriculture, in cooperation with the Governorate’s Public Safety Committee, conducted an inspection tour of several olive oil mills. The tour aimed to verify compliance with public safety and quality standards and to ensure adherence to necessary technical and sanitary requirements during the olive pressing season.
The inspection covered safety procedures within the mills, the cleanliness of equipment and production lines, and adherence to proper practices regarding the receipt of olives, the pressing process, and oil storage—all of which contribute to maintaining product quality and safety.
This tour is part of the regulatory efforts undertaken by competent authorities during the olive season to ensure mills comply with approved standards, curb practices that could compromise olive oil quality, and protect consumer health.
The Ministry of Agriculture emphasizes the importance of continued cooperation between its directorates and partner agencies on the Public Safety Committee, as well as the intensification of field inspections to ensure the production of high-quality Palestinian olive oil and to bolster consumer confidence in the national product.
