Jerusalem Agriculture Directorate, through its Agricultural Extension Department, conducted a field day for 20 farmers participating in the "Farmer Field School" program in Al-Jib area. This initiative is part of a broader project implemented across seven villages in Jerusalem Governorate, funded by the Moroccan Bayt Mal Al-Quds Al-Sharif Agency.
The field day featured various practical extension activities, most notably training farmers on supplementary irrigation methods for olive trees and demonstrating the use of food-based traps. These activities aim to promote agricultural practices and enhance production efficiency.
These activities align with the efforts of the Moroccan Bayt Mal Al-Quds Al-Sharif Agency to support farmers and bolster their resilience. By funding agricultural and developmental programs designed to build capacity and improve output, the Agency strengthens the farmers' connection to their land and supports the sustainability of agricultural activity in Jerusalem Governorate.
The Ministry of Agriculture through Jerusalem Agriculture Directorate and the Agricultural Extension Department continues to implement Farmer Field School activities. These initiatives focus on transferring knowledge and practical expertise to farmers and applying modern agricultural techniques, thereby contributing to the development of agricultural production and strengthening the farmers' resilience in their communities.
