The Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Jerusalem Affairs, and the Land Research Center distributed nine towed water tanks to beneficiaries in several areas under the “Sumud” project, funded by the Moroccan Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agenc

As part of the "Economic Empowerment of Jerusalemite Families through Agricultural Sector Development and Food Security Enhancement – ​​Sumud" project, funded by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Al-Sharif Agency, in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Jerusalem Affairs, and implemented by the Land Research Center, the Jerusalem Governorate Agriculture Directorate completed the distribution of towed water tanks to livestock breeders in several targeted communities.

This activity embodies the vital role played by the Moroccan Bayt Mal Al-Quds Al-Sharif Agency in supporting the resilience of Jerusalemites through funding and implementing sustainable development projects that contribute to enhancing food security and improving livelihoods, especially in threatened and marginalized areas.

The activity targeted livestock breeders in the areas of Al-Muntar, Abu Hindi, Rawabi Al-Issawiya, Al-Jib, Beit Surik, and Beit Iksa. Nine towed water tanks were distributed out of the fifteen allocated to the governorate, contributing to strengthening breeders' ability to secure water sources and improving the sustainability of livestock production. This intervention comes as part of an integrated package of activities implemented in the governorate through the “Sumud” project, which also included the distribution of almond seedlings and the provision of veterinary kits, within the context of an integrated development approach aimed at supporting the resilience of Jerusalemite families, enhancing food security, and improving livelihoods in the targeted areas.
