The Ministry of Agriculture has enhanced the technical infrastructure of the sheep farm at Beit Qad Agricultural Experiment Station, affiliated with the National Agricultural Research Center , by supplying a package of modern equipment and supplies worth a total of 822,150 shekels. This was done within the framework of the "Supporting Palestinian Resilience in Area C through the Sustainable Livestock Development Program" project, jointly funded by the European Union and the Palestinian government, and implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture,

The equipment included electronic animal identification systems and herd data recording and management systems, feeding and livestock production units and equipment, in addition to specialized equipment to support genetic improvement programs and the production and preservation of improved genetic material, thus enhancing the station's technical capabilities.

The equipment was supplied by the Turkish company MBF, in cooperation and coordination with its authorized representative in Palestine, Al-Hasad Al-Haditha Company. The aim is to improve herd management efficiency, develop production and milking processes, and enhance the readiness of Beit Qad station to implement research, development, and genetic improvement programs for livestock.

Minister of Agriculture, Professor Rizq Slaimiya, emphasized that the development of Beit Qad station represents a strategic investment in developing the livestock sector and strengthening national genetic capital. He noted that employing modern technology in herd management, production data collection, and genetic improvement programs contributes to increased productivity and improved sector efficiency.

The Ministry affirms that the development of Beit Qad station aligns with its strategy to modernize experimental, research, and genetic improvement stations, enhancing their role as scientific and technical centers that support breed development and productivity improvement programs. These stations provide knowledge and modern technologies that contribute to the development of the livestock sector, strengthen national food security, and bolster the resilience of farmers and livestock breeders.
