Ministry of Agriculture: Distribution of 1,500 almond seedlings under the supervision of the Jenin Agriculture Directorate and implemented by the Palestinian Center for the benefit of 5 farmers in Farasin

Recognizing the importance of protecting agricultural land from the dangers of neglect, Jenin Directorate of Agriculture, in cooperation with the Palestinian Center for Economic and Social Development, distributed 1,500 almond saplings to five farmers in Farasin area. This initiative falls under the "Improving Livelihoods and Strengthening the Resilience of Small Farmers" project, part of broader efforts to reclaim and cultivate land. This aims to bolster the Palestinian presence on their land and prevent it from remaining uncultivated, vulnerable to theft, confiscation, and attacks by settler groups.

This intervention aims to encourage farmers to invest in their land and increase the area planted with almond trees. This will contribute to improved agricultural production, enhance the income of farming families, and strengthen the resilience of farmers in threatened areas. The project recognizes that land cultivation and utilization are a national interest and a cornerstone of sustainable agricultural development. The Ministry of Agriculture affirms that these interventions are part of an ongoing program implemented by the Ministry and its partners to support small farmers and enhance their ability to continue agricultural production, through the implementation of development projects that contribute to protecting agricultural lands, enhancing food security, and supporting the resilience of citizens on their lands.
