The Ministry of Agriculture continued its veterinary vaccination campaign today, Tuesday, in Hebron and Bethlehem Governorates, administering 8,375 vaccination , as part of the Ministry's efforts to promote animal health and prevent epidemic diseases.
In Hebron Governorate, Dura Veterinary Department administered 1,243 doses of the foot-and-mouth disease vaccine in Al-Muraq area, benefiting 30 farmers. They also administered 320 doses of the brucellosis vaccine in Al-Muraq and Al-Dhahiriya, benefiting 20 farmers. In Al-Buwaib area, Yatta Veterinary Department administered 1,400 doses of the foot-and-mouth disease vaccine and 500 doses of the brucellosis vaccine, benefiting 25 farmers.
In Jabal Jawhar area, 175 replacement ewes belonging to 21 breeders were vaccinated. Veterinary teams in northern Hebron administered 1,750 doses of the brucellosis vaccine in Masafer Bani Na'im area, benefiting 150 farmers and breeders.
In Bethlehem Governorate, the Veterinary Department administered 2,987 doses of the foot-and-mouth disease vaccine to sheep in Nahalin and Jaba' areas, benefiting 132 breeders.
The ministry affirms that its veterinary staff will continue to implement preventive vaccination programs in various governorates and monitor livestock in the field, which will contribute to reducing the spread of diseases, protecting livestock, and supporting the sustainability of the livestock sector.
