The Ministry of Agriculture opens a training program for 20 rural development extension workers on modern extension tools in livestock farms.

Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Engineer Bader Al-Hawamdeh, inaugurated the training program entitled "Modern Extension Tools in Livestock Farms," ​​aimed at rural development extension workers. The inauguration was attended by the Director General of Agricultural Extension, Engineer Salah Al-Baba, and 20 rural development extension workers. This program is part of the "Enhancing the Skills and Practices of Livestock Breeders at All Stages of the Animal Value Chain in the West Bank – Palestine" project, implemented in partnership between the Ministry of Agriculture and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).

Al-Hawamdeh emphasized the pivotal role of rural development extension workers in transferring modern knowledge and skills to livestock breeders in the field, and in enhancing their ability to apply sound practices in livestock farm management. This contributes to improving productivity, increasing rural household income, and strengthening food security for Palestinian families.

The training program aims to develop the capacities of extension staff and empower rural development extension workers with the knowledge and modern technologies used in livestock farm management, thereby enhancing the quality of extension services provided to farmers and livestock breeders. The training also focuses on supporting the livestock value chain, by developing the skills and practices of livestock breeders at various stages of animal production, which contributes to raising production efficiency, improving agricultural practices and enhancing the resilience of rural families in the West Bank.
