The Ministry of Agriculture discusses with (JICA) the rehabilitation of nurseries in Gaza Strip.

The Ministry of Agriculture held a meeting with a team from the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA), attended by Eng. Maram Sawalha, Director General of Planning and Policies; Dr. Ahmed Al-Fares, Advisor of  the Minister of Agriculture; and Eng. Thaer Al-Rabi, Director General of Forests and Rangelands, along with JICA team, to discuss cooperation mechanisms for implementing the project to rehabilitate and develop nurseries in Gaza Strip.

During the meeting, the current state of nurseries in the Gaza Strip was reviewed, along with the extent of the damage they have sustained. The technical and logistical needs required for their rehabilitation and increased efficiency were discussed, with the aim of resuming the production of agricultural seedlings, supporting farmers, and contributing to the revitalization of the agricultural sector and the enhancement of food security.

Participants emphasized the importance of the project in supporting early recovery efforts in the agricultural sector, stressing the need for continued coordination and cooperation between the Ministry of Agriculture and JICA to finalize the technical aspects and develop an implementation plan that contributes to the rehabilitation of nurseries in Gaza Strip.
