Ministry of Agriculture: Bethlehem Directorate staff conducted field inspections of EU-funded agricultural projects awarded to eight farmers, worth 270,064 shekels

The staff of the Bethlehem Agriculture Directorate, accompanied by a specialized auditing firm, conducted a field visit to review and evaluate agricultural projects granted to eight farmers, with a total value of 270,064 NIS, as part of the EU-funded agricultural assistance program. The visit aimed to verify the implementation of the projects according to the approved plans and technical standards, ensure adherence to the specified standards, and assess the impact of the interventions on the beneficiary farmers.

The audited projects included a range of agricultural interventions such as providing agricultural equipment, purchasing sheep, drilling wells, and constructing sheds, all of which contribute to enhancing productivity and improving the income sources of the beneficiary families.

The visit was conducted with the participation of Ms. Raeda Qaqour, Director of the Agricultural Services Department, and Engineer Ismail Al-Harsh. They observed the projects firsthand and discussed technical observations to ensure quality implementation and efficient outcomes. The Ministry of Agriculture emphasizes the importance of integrating follow-up and field auditing work in raising the efficiency of development projects and ensuring the achievement of their goals in supporting the resilience of farmers and enhancing the sustainability of the agricultural sector.
