The Ministry of Agriculture, and Tammun Municipality, have carried out work to construct and rehabilitate several agricultural roads using Ministry machinery. This initiative aims to facilitate farmers' access to their lands, enabling them to continue cultivation and investment, thereby strengthening their presence and steadfastness on their property.
The project included the construction and rehabilitation of a 5-kilometer agricultural road serving approximately 3,000 dunams of farmland. This road provides easier access for farmers to reach their lands and transport production inputs and crops. Regular access enhances their ability to utilize the land and keep it cultivated and productive.
The Ministry emphasizes that opening and rehabilitating agricultural roads is part of broader efforts to protect the land from neglect and strengthen the farmers' bond with it. Easy access encourages landowners to cultivate and invest in their property and maintain continuous agricultural activity, especially given the ongoing attempts to seize and control Palestinian lands.
These activities fall within the Ministry of Agriculture’s mandate to support farmers' resilience and protect agricultural land. Carried out in coordination with local authorities, the initiative ensures the continued use of the land and its integration into the agricultural and production cycle, while empowering owners to access their property and defend their right to cultivate and utilize it.
