The Ministry of Agriculture, in cooperation with the Palestinian Center for Economic and Social Development, implemented a home gardening activity for the benefit of 40 beneficiaries in a number of Yatta areas, as part of the project “A Ray of Hope for the Children of Palestine” .
The activity was implemented under the supervision and participation of Yatta Directorate of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, where the Palestinian Center for Economic and Social Development, represented by Engineer Ibrahim Hreibat, and in coordination with the project coordinator in the Directorate, distributed integrated agricultural packages to the beneficiaries.
The package distributed to each beneficiary included a water tank with a capacity of 1.5 cups, an irrigation network, bags of organic fertilizer, and a spray pump, which contributes to enabling the beneficiary families to establish productive home gardens.
The project aims to support local farmers and families, and promote the concept of home farming as one of the tools for achieving food security, in addition to improving the standard of living and promoting self-reliance.
These efforts come within the framework of joint cooperation between the Ministry of Agriculture and partner agencies, and within the Ministry’s directions aimed at supporting sustainable agricultural development and enhancing the resilience of citizens in rural areas.
