Nablus Governor Ghassan Daghlas inaugurated a workshop today, Sunday, entitled "Funding Opportunities for Agricultural Projects in Nablus Governorate." The workshop was organized by Nablus Directorate of Agriculture in cooperation with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). Attendees included Nasser Maali, Food Security Policy Analyst at the FAO; Dr. Ziad Fadda, Director General of the Nablus Directorate of Agriculture; and several representatives from local organizations.
The workshop, which was attended by 50 farmers and project owners, addressed available funding opportunities for agricultural projects in the governorate. Its aim was to familiarize farmers and project owners with the programs and funding opportunities they can utilize to develop their projects, improve production, and enhance their sustainability.
Governor Daghlas emphasized the importance of holding such workshops, as they provide a platform to raise awareness about available funding opportunities and the needs of the agricultural sector. He noted that enabling farmers and project owners to access funding contributes to the development of their projects, improves agricultural production, supports their resilience, and strengthens food security and the local economy. For his part, the Director General of the Nablus Agriculture Directorate, Dr. Ziad Fadda, stressed the importance of cooperation with the Food and Agriculture Organization in supporting the agricultural sector, and providing information and opportunities that help farmers and project owners access funding programs and direct them towards agricultural priorities and needs in the governorate.
