Ministry of Agriculture: Veterinary directorates and departments are continuing their preventive vaccination campaign, administering 9,487 doses today to 257 farmers and livestock breeders in several governorates to protect livestock.

⭕ 2,856 doses of Brucellosis vaccine to immunize sheep and female replacement stock, and to bolster herd protection.
⭕ 6,131 doses of Foot-and-Mouth Disease (FMD) vaccine as part of ongoing efforts to control epidemic diseases.
⭕ 500 doses of Peste des Petits Ruminants (PPR) and sheep pox vaccines to enhance immunity and health protection for livestock.

Governorates: September 13, 2026

Veterinary directorates and departments under the Ministry of Agriculture conducted veterinary vaccination campaigns this Sunday across several areas in the governorates of Bethlehem, Hebron, Jericho, Ramallah, Jerusalem, and Jenin. These efforts are part of ongoing initiatives to protect livestock and curb the spread of epidemic diseases.
In Bethlehem Governorate, the Veterinary Department carried out a vaccination campaign in Arab Al-Rashayda area, administering 1,500 doses of FMD vaccine and 900 doses of Brucellosis vaccine to sheep, benefiting 25 farmers and livestock breeders.
In northern Hebron, the Veterinary Department conducted vaccination campaigns in Halhul and Surif areas, administering 350 doses of FMD vaccine and 150 doses of Brucellosis vaccine to sheep, benefiting 22 farmers.

Additionally, Hebron Veterinary Department executed a campaign in Idhna and Tarqumiya areas, vaccinating 685 female replacement sheep against Brucellosis, benefiting 47 breeders. In the southern Hebron area, the Veterinary Services and Animal Health Department in Dura conducted a vaccination campaign in Al-Mawraq area. This included administering 150 doses against brucellosis (benefiting 13 recipients), 457 doses against foot-and-mouth disease (benefiting 12 recipients), and 300 doses against Peste des Petits Ruminants (PPR) (benefiting 3 recipients), as well as 50 doses against sheep pox (benefiting one recipient).
In Jericho Governorate, the Veterinary Department carried out a vaccination campaign involving 2,054 doses against foot-and-mouth disease for sheep, benefiting 30 farmers in Al-Jiftlik area.
In Ramallah Governorate, the Veterinary Department administered 1,750 doses against foot-and-mouth disease for sheep in the town of Beit Liqya, benefiting 35 farmers, alongside 300 doses against brucellosis, benefiting 14 farmers.
In Jerusalem Governorate, the Veterinary Department administered 350 doses against brucellosis in Abu al-Nawar community, benefiting 21 farmers, while Jenin Veterinary Department administered 150 doses against brucellosis, benefiting 6 farmers.
In Yatta, vaccination campaigns included 171 doses against brucellosis in Khallet al-Hajar and Al-Buwaib areas (benefiting 24 farmers), 20 doses against foot-and-mouth disease for sheep in Umm al-Shaqhan area (benefiting one farmer), and 150 doses against PPR in Al-Samu' and Yatta (benefiting 3 farmers). The Ministry of Agriculture continues to carry out field veterinary campaigns across various governorates as part of its plan to enhance preventive vaccination for livestock and improve health protection for herds. These efforts aim to mitigate potential losses from epidemic diseases, support the stability and sustainability of the livestock sector, and strengthen the resilience of farmers.
