Tulkarm Governorate Directorate of Agriculture conducted a "Mushroom Cultivation Observation" event at Far'oun Boys' Secondary School. This event was part of the Directorate's efforts to support the local economy and encourage income-generating entrepreneurial projects, particularly among students and youth.
This activity aligns with the Directorate's mission to promote mushroom cultivation as a viable small-scale entrepreneurial project that can be implemented at home or within local communities. Mushroom cultivation offers high economic viability, especially given the current challenging economic conditions. It is a promising project that does not require significant capital and provides a sustainable source of income for Palestinian families.
During the event, the practical steps of mushroom cultivation were demonstrated, from preparing the appropriate environment through the various growth stages to harvesting. The focus was on the technical and economic aspects of the project, enhancing students' practical understanding.
Students were also encouraged to consider adopting such entrepreneurial projects as a means of self-reliance, creating sustainable job opportunities, and contributing to strengthening local food security. The Ministry of Agriculture affirms its readiness to provide technical support, agricultural guidance, and necessary consultations to anyone wishing to enter this field, in line with its vision aimed at developing the Palestinian countryside and strengthening the resilience of citizens.
