The North Hebron Agriculture Directorate carried out spraying operations along roadsides and firebreaks in several forested areas, using herbicides. This is part of preventative measures aimed at reducing the spread of flammable dry vegetation and enhancing the protection of forest resources from fire hazards.
The Ministry of Agriculture affirms that these operations are a continuation of the early fire prevention program it implements annually, with the goal of reducing the causes of fires, preserving vegetation and biodiversity, and protecting the governorate's natural resources.
In this context, the Directorate warns citizens and shepherds against grazing or bringing livestock into the sprayed areas, which are as follows:
The Ministry of Agriculture urges everyone to adhere to the issued guidelines and instructions, and to refrain from being present or grazing in these areas during the specified period following spraying, in order to preserve public safety and ensure the effectiveness of the measures taken.
The Ministry reiterates the importance of community cooperation in protecting forests and reporting any encroachments or fires that may threaten forest resources, thus contributing to enhancing the sustainability of natural resources and serving the public interest.
