Ministry of Agriculture: Nablus Agriculture Directorate signs an agreement to establish a public park on governmental forest land in the village of Naqoura

Nablus Directorate of Agriculture signed an agreement to establish a public park on state-owned forest land in the village of Naqoura. The signing ceremony was attended by the Director General of the Directorate, Engineer Yasser Ishtayeh; the Director of Technical Services, Engineer Sawsan Salah; the Head of the Forests and Rangelands Department, Engineer Faisal Abdel Jawad; and the Head of the Naqoura Village Council, Mr. Hashem Mohsen.

This agreement comes within the framework of the Ministry's efforts in the field of natural resource management and sustainability. As the entity responsible for managing and developing state forests, preserving reserves, and regulating the use of forest lands, the Ministry aims to ensure the participation of local communities in the development and protection of these resources, which are of economic, environmental, social, and cultural importance.

The Directorate affirms that the establishment of the park aims to regulate recreational activities and reduce haphazard practices within forest lands. It will provide a safe and well-equipped park for citizens, contribute to the protection of vegetation, and promote environmental awareness. Furthermore, it will support local development and strengthen partnerships with local authorities in the sustainable management of natural resources, achieving a balance between protection and the organized use of these resources for future generations.
