This initiative aligns with the Ministry of Agriculture's vision of achieving environmental sustainability and preserving green cover, as a part of "Greening My Country" campaign.
The Directorate, in cooperation with the Environmental Quality Authority and Bank of Palestine, have organized a volunteer day for planting forest seedlings in the Khallat Issa Forest area in the village of Talouza. The aim was to enhance vegetation cover and support afforestation efforts in the governorate.

In a related context, the Directorate has conducted an agricultural awareness activity on Thursday, February 12, 2026, in cooperation with Al-Badhan Mixed School. The school staff provided a practical demonstration of proper planting techniques, highlighting the importance of trees in improving environmental quality, preserving natural resources, and providing green spaces that benefit the local community and visitors.
These initiatives align with the Ministry of Agriculture's directives to instill a culture of agriculture and volunteerism, and to promote environmental responsibility among all segments of society, thereby contributing to the protection of natural resources and the achievement of sustainable development.
