Bethlehem Agriculture Directorate carried out a monitoring and inspection tour of stores selling agricultural materials in the governorate, as part of monitoring these stores’ compliance with the applicable regulations and instructions.
Engineer Moataz Awad and Engineer Leen Saadeh participated in the tour. The tour aimed to verify that agricultural materials (especially fertilizers and pesticides) and other production inputs conform to the technical specifications and trading conditions approved by the Ministry of Agriculture, in addition to ensuring that stores are free of any materials prohibited from circulation.
During the tour, a number of licensing certificates were handed over to stores that met the licensing requirements, which contributes to organizing the work of stores selling agricultural inputs and ensuring their compliance with the approved standards.
These efforts come within the national campaign led by the Ministry of Agriculture to regulate the agricultural production input sector and ensure the quality of traded materials, which contributes to protecting farmers and the environment from smuggled and unregistered materials, and enhancing the safety of the agricultural sector in the various governorates of the country.
