Jericho and Jordan Valley Directorate of Agriculture conducted a field inspection tour targeting agricultural fertilizer and pesticide shops in the governorate. This tour was part of ongoing monitoring of these shops' operations and ensuring their compliance with the regulations and instructions in effect for 2026.
The tour aimed to verify the validity and renewal of shop licenses for the current year, ensure compliance with the necessary technical and health requirements, confirm that the products offered conform to the specifications approved by the Ministry of Agriculture, and guarantee their safe and proper storage and handling.
The Ministry of Agriculture affirms that these tours are part of its periodic monitoring plan aimed at regulating the agricultural inputs sector and protecting farmers from any non-compliant or unlicensed materials that could negatively impact agricultural production, the environment, or public health.
