
Ramallah: July 15, 2026
Hebron Directorate of Agriculture, in cooperation with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), organized a field trip to the Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate for 15 female farmers from the town of Beit Kahil. This tour was part of the Improvement in Value-Added Agriculture Extension Project (EVAP 3), aimed at enhancing the marketing skills of the participants and introducing them to best practices in marketing agricultural products.
The trip included visits to the companies (Mawaris and Jusoor), where the participants learned about modern marketing mechanisms, product presentation and packaging methods, market needs, and the requirements for marketing agricultural products. This knowledge contributes to improving production quality and increasing accessibility for consumers. The tour was supervised by engineers Muhammad Al-Darabieh, Bahar Al-Zaatari, and Faten Al-Tamimi from the Hebron Agriculture Directorate. The delegation met with the Director General of Ramallah and Al-Bireh Agriculture Directorate, Engineer Zafer Al-Hamshari, along with the Director of Agricultural Extension, Engineer Ahmed Talib. Participants received explanations on the importance of aligning production with market needs, as well as learning about successful agricultural marketing models and exchanging experiences with agricultural project owners.
This tour is part of the extension activities implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture through the EVAP 3 project, in cooperation with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The project aims to develop farmers' capacities in production and marketing, empower rural women, and enhance access to more efficient and profitable markets, thereby supporting sustainable agricultural development.
