The Ministry of Agriculture's national livestock vaccination and tagging campaign completed its second consecutive week, vaccinating 3,100 animals and tagging 3,600 in Um Qussa, Zuweidin, Ibziq, and Bardala.

After the national campaign for livestock vaccination and tagging, including preventative vaccination against foot-and-mouth disease (SAT-1), exceeded 24,000 head by the end of its first week, the Ministry of Agriculture continued its work for the second consecutive week in targeted areas. This initiative is part of the Ministry's efforts to protect livestock, limit the spread of epidemic diseases, and strengthen the resilience of livestock breeders, particularly in threatened areas.

In Masafer Yatta, Ministry teams, with the participation of a team from the Veterinary Syndicate who generously joined the national campaign, carried out campaign activities in the Um Qussa and Zuweidin areas. 2,000 head of livestock were vaccinated, and 2,500 were tagged, benefiting 43 breeders.

In Tubas and Northern Jordan Valley governorates, ministry teams continued implementing the campaign in the areas of Ibziq and Bardala, where 1,100 head of livestock were vaccinated and tagged, benefiting seven livestock breeders.

The Ministry of Agriculture affirms that the national campaign is ongoing according to the approved field plan, aiming to strengthen the animal health system, improve disease prevention, and track livestock through the tagging system. This contributes to protecting breeders' herds, preserving livestock, and enhancing the resilience of farmers in the targeted areas.

Thus, the total number of livestock vaccinated and tagged as part of the national campaign's efforts since its launch has risen to more than 30,700 head, within the framework of the Ministry of Agriculture's efforts to protect livestock and strengthen the resilience of livestock breeders.
