As part of the SANET project, Tulkarm Directorate of Agriculture received specialized fish feed manufacturing equipment for beneficiary Hassan Hassan. This initiative aligns with the Ministry of Agriculture's efforts to support productive projects, strengthen agricultural value chains, and develop the aquaculture sector in Palestine.
This intervention addresses one of the most significant challenges facing fish farmers: the lack of specialized local fish feed production facilities. This deficiency increases reliance on imported feed and raises production costs.
The equipment is expected to enable the beneficiary to produce local feed mixes, positively impacting cost reduction and improving the economic viability of aquaculture projects.
In this context, a pilot project for manufacturing fish feed mixes will be conducted in cooperation with the Research Center. The aim is to test suitable feed formulations and adapt them to the needs of fish farmers and local conditions, paving the way for the development of a viable and scalable production model for the future. The delivery of this equipment comes as part of the "Sanet" project's interventions aimed at supporting agricultural innovation, enhancing the capabilities of small and medium enterprises, and providing practical solutions to the challenges facing promising productive sectors, thereby contributing to strengthening food security, supporting economic development, and creating job opportunities in the Palestinian agricultural sector.
