Ministry of Agriculture: Jerusalem Veterinary Department conducts field visits to poultry and sheep farms to monitor and track diseases and promote health safety

Jerusalem Agriculture Directorate – Veterinary Department conducted field visits to collect samples of table eggs from laying hen farms for laboratory testing to ensure their safety and suitability for consumption.

Samples were also taken from sheep farms in the governorate as part of ongoing monitoring and surveillance efforts to detect foot-and-mouth disease early and implement necessary preventative measures to limit its spread.

The Ministry of Agriculture affirmed that these measures are part of its continuous plans to strengthen the health and safety system for animal products, protect livestock, and ensure food safety through field monitoring and periodic inspections in various governorates.
