Al-Dhahiriya District/South Hebron Agriculture and Veterinary Directorate, in cooperation with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), organized a field visit for a group of vegetable farmers in the town of Al-Dhahiriya. This visit was part of the IFAP 3 project, which aims to develop farmers' production capacities and improve the quality of agricultural crops.

The visit aimed to transfer modern agricultural expertise and introduce farmers to advanced production technologies. The tour included a visit to a plant nursery that utilizes modern electronic irrigation systems, which contribute to water conservation and increased production efficiency. Participants also visited a farm specializing in medicinal and aromatic plants, where they learned about the cultivation and marketing methods used in this promising sector.

The tour concluded with a visit to a hydroponic farm and a nursery specializing in vegetable seedling production. During these visits, participants exchanged experiences on best practices in greenhouse management, improving seedling quality, and increasing productivity. Those in charge of the activity confirmed that this tour comes within the framework of the Ministry of Agriculture’s plan aimed at developing the agricultural sector and raising the efficiency of production, through practical exposure to successful agricultural models and enhancing the exchange of experiences among farmers, which contributes to improving income and enhancing the sustainability of agricultural projects.
