The Veterinary Services Department of Hebron Veterinary Directorate conducted a field visit to dairy and fattening sheep farms as part of the Ministry's efforts to strengthen preventative measures and protect livestock. The visit included providing guidance and raising awareness among farmers about preventing foot-and-mouth disease, emphasizing the importance of implementing biosecurity standards to limit the spread of diseases, and conducting a field vaccination campaign.
During the visit, 650 dairy cows and 350 fattening sheep were vaccinated. The Directorate confirmed that the campaign is ongoing, in accordance with the Ministry's comprehensive plan for the prevention and control of epidemic diseases. These efforts are part of the Ministry of Agriculture's plan to protect livestock, enhance the resilience of farmers, and support the local economy.
