Under the supervision and monitoring of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Agricultural Development Association (Agricultural Relief) implements urgent relief interventions to support affected farmers through Tubas and Northern Jordan Valley Directorate of Agriculture, as part of joint efforts to strengthen the resilience of the agricultural sector.

This intervention falls under the project "Integrated Winter Storm Response for Displacement Sites and Vulnerable Livelihoods in the Occupied Palestinian Territory," funded by START NETWORK and in partnership with HelpAge and Christian Aid. The activity is specifically focused on "Food Security and Livelihoods."

The Ministry of Agriculture and Agricultural Relief confirm that this intervention is a response to the significant damage suffered by farmers as a result of the recent winter storm, which caused strong winds that led to widespread damage to greenhouses and losses in production. In this context, joint field teams reached 224 affected farmers across the governorate, distributing 224 bundles of nylon sheeting for greenhouses. This support aims to enable farmers to rehabilitate their production units and protect their crops.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Agricultural Relief indicates that this assistance contributes to alleviating the economic burdens on farmers, especially given the difficult circumstances facing the agricultural sector, and to enhancing the continuity of agricultural production.

They also explained that the selection of locations and beneficiaries was based on thorough field surveys to ensure that aid reaches the most affected and needy groups.

This intervention reflects the Ministry of Agriculture and Agricultural Relief's commitment to supporting farmers and strengthening food security through integrated efforts with local and international partners.
