The Directorate of Agriculture in Tubas and Northern Jordan Valley Governorate, in partnership with the Palestinian Center for Economic and Social Development (ESDC) and the Agricultural Relief organization, completed the distribution of 4,000 irrigated almond saplings of the Almond and Apricot varieties. This initiative is part of the "Improving Livelihoods, Food Security, and Sustainable Economic Growth in the West Bank and Gaza Strip – Palestine" project.

This intervention targets 25 farmers in the areas of Aqaba, Al-Far'aa, Ras Al-Far'aa, and the city of Tubas. It aligns with the efforts of the Ministry of Agriculture and its partners to promote agricultural land investment and increase the area planted with almond trees. This contributes to protecting land from neglect, strengthening farmers' resilience on their land, improving agricultural production, and increasing the efficiency of natural resource utilization.

The project is being implemented by the Palestinian Economic and Social Development Center (ESDC) in partnership with the Agricultural Development Association (Agricultural Relief) and the Union of Cooperative Societies, in partnership with the Palestinian Ministry of Agriculture, and with funding from the Dutch Representative Office, as part of joint efforts to support sustainable agricultural development, improve farmers’ livelihoods, and enhance food security in the targeted areas.
